He is confident that every student will excel to their full potential under his guidance, in the Kenpo system. Founder Of American Kenpo Karate

Mr. Steve Casamento has trained with many respective martial artists and film stars for 16 years and adds what he learns to his inventory of knowledge. He is also cross trained in Escrima, Tai Chi and the Russian martial art called "Systema." Mr. Casamento works hard to instill the importance of strong family units. He expects his Kenpo family of students to show respect and honor in and outside of the studio. His commitment to this can be seen as he works alongside his wife and partner instructor. Mr. Casamento has recently earned his 4th degree black belt under Richard "Huk" Planas after 5 years of hard work and dedication at 3rd.
Our founder Ed Parker, a native of Hawaii, learned the core of this ancient chinese art from the late William K.S. Chow. Mr. Parker analyzed and added concepts, theories, principles and innovations to adapt to the modern day American. This is what makes his system unique, practical, logical, realistic and applicable.
Mr. Parker's system also employs linear as well as circular moves, ultizing intermittent power when and where needed combined with moves that flow with continuity. Mr. Parker is recoqnized as the "father of American Kenpo Karate."
